My order shipped right away; No shipping fee was added to the price; and the order was shipped UPS 2 day air! For free! As for the glasses, they are exactly what they have always been. Though it is not specified in the "fine print," I believe these are the "standard" size wayfarers. I only have one minor complaint... Why oh why must there be white lettering on one of the lenses. Ray Ban is clearly spelled out along the folding arms of the frame. But the manufacturer seems to find it necessary to add white lettering which says "ray ban p" right on the gee dee lens. I wanted all black glasses. Oh well, I'm still wearing them. And they still look as cool as ever.One other thing to add. These glasses have a spring hinge in the folding arms. While this is a nice touch, the springs hinges are larger than the standard hinge I remember circa 1987.
One last note: the polarized lenses are definitely worth the extra money. Road glare is greatly reduced while driving.
These glasses have gotten me numerous comments/compliments. I have worn them every day since I purchased them. But... I need to clarify something for the potential buyer. The polarized lenses are good and they are the same dark green color as the 'g 15 xlt' lenses of most ray ban glasses. But I actually decided to look for another pair without polarized lenses because polarization causes some issues when I use them with my camera with a polarizing filter. So, even though I had such good luck with paris miki, I paid a little more for my second pair at a mall chain store because I wanted to be able to test out the glasses before purchase.
Well, I learned more than I ever thought I would about wayfarers.
First off, the frames that I purchased from paris miki say rb 2113 on the inside of one of the arms. Turns out that I actually prefer a different model which says rb 2140 on the inside of one of the arms. rb 2140's are Ray Ban's new "original wayfarers." The differences are perhaps somewhat subtle, but I think they are worth mentioning.
rb 2113's (the ones I purchased from paris miki) have slightly shorter arms which don't quite make it far enough behind my ears. rb2140's go back far enough.
rb 2113's have spring hinges which seem to prevent a tight enough fit. rb 2140's have standard hinges.
rb2113's are slightly less "blocky" with a little less plastic around the front of the lenses and a slightly narrower opening around the nose. rb 2140's are (slightly) more "square" and even have wider metal bits in the front.
No one who sees these two different styles on your head is likely to tell them apart, but, at least for me, the "original" wayfarers are more comfortable and less prone to sliding down my nose when I sweat. And, though subtle, I prefer the styling of the "original" wayfarer.
I'm still gonna wear the polarized pair when I go near water or snow though.
One last note: these glasses are available in at least two different sizes--50mm and 54mm. I believe that this measurement is the height of the lenses. I far prefer the 50mm size, which is what I bought both times. But I would recommend going to a store and testing out both before ordering online.

I found them almost too small for me (and I am accustomed to small sunglasses). I have a thinner, longer face and struggle with eyeglass frames that are typically too big. When I received these I was really surprised at how small they really were. But all in all, they are great and I love the way they feel and the great Ray-Ban name.
Italian sunglasses at a terrific price. The case and cloth are a nice value-add as well.
Please be mindful that these are truly small and that Ray-Ban makes various sizes that differ by millimeters.

With introductions like the accelerometer, genius, redesigned interface, and an even smaller package, who couldn't love Apple's new Ipod nano? While these sound like great additions, they really don't result in a better ipod. While the new interface, genius, and size, don't hurt, the accelerometer really ruins the whole package. The accelerometer might work well in the iphone and ipod touch, in the nano it is just really annoying. It is way to sensitive and causes problems with simple things like volume. The accelerometer often changes the now playing screen to the cover flow which keeps the volume from being changed without the ipod being pulled out and flipped. The shake to shuffle also causes problems, it is to sensitive as well and will activate when it is not intended to. At least the shake to shuffle can be turned off, I just wish the the accelerometer as a whole could be turned off. If it had that capacity this review could have easily turned from a 2 to a 5.
The best generation of the Nano yet
Here's why:
The 4th generation nanos are now, along with the iPod touches build with FLASH-BASED storage. This means we no longer have to live with the dreadful hard drives that sputtered out and made millions of our old iPods fail.
Flashed-based storage works just like a flash drive or a "memory stick" would, and requires no moving parts, like a flash drive. This means you can run with now, and even drop it and there is WAY less a chance that it will malfunction. No moving parts also means IMPROVED BATTERY LIFE. My nano can go 20 hours or more before a recharge, which only takes about 90 minutes or so. The flash drive also helps songs to load considerably faster and menu navigation is more smooth too.
Awesome build and design. I love the color selection Apple has offered as well as the tall, very slim design that allows supreme portability. Thank god for the outside shell, and no metal back like the old ipod videos that was prone to scratches right out of the box!
I don't expect much from an iPod these days, I just wanted one to hold about 1500 songs. I thought the "shake to shuffle" idea was pointless, so i turned it off right away. For people wondering, you can also TURN OFF THE ALBUM ARTWORK ON THE MAIN MENU, as it is shown in advertising photos. The only thing I miss are the old, classic games replaced with new, less exciting ones. However, I assume you can buy them through apple now.
To all the haters freaking out about "bose compatibility" it is expected when new models are released. I just tested mine in Target yesterday and it played fine on ALL the ipod stereos there.
Overall, great pricing, wide variety of colors to choose from, flash memory is great, this ipod will hold up wonderfully, and small enough to take anywhere!

I received this long awaited ipod as a birthday gift and I am defiantly glad I got it. Although I'm glad I got it, I have to state some of the negative things about the ipod. For one, IT DOESN'T HAVE 16 GB!!!!!! When I first logged into itunes and connected the ipod it said the ipod had 15.05 GB, not a full 16. I then first thought the reason it didn't say it had 16 GB was because of the games and extra features on the ipod. But nope, I figured out that wasn't the case. I was able to figure this out by going to the bottom of my windows XP screen, clicked start, clicked my computer, right clicked on my ipod, clicked properties, and then it came up with the information saying that no space out of the 15 GB had been taken up. So that just proves that the ipod didn't say 16 GB when I logged into itunes because of the games, but because of the fact the ipod doesn't actually have 16 GB on it. I think that is false advertising and is a rip off.
Some other things I want to say about the ipod is that it CONSTANTLY crashes. Sometimes I will log onto any of the computers in my house and my computer won't see it. And then sometimes when It does see I try to eject it but it tells me that the ipod is currently being used when it really isn't. So then I have to disconnect the ipod without ejecting it, and that makes it so I have to reset it. Also, their was one time when I didn't turn off my ipod before connecting it to my computer, so then that caused it to crash. I don't think you should always have to shut your ipod off right before connecting it to the computer to charge.
Another thing to say is that the video quality isn't very good at times. The video type that the ipod uses to display videos is one of the Highest quality video types out there. So I think I should have a better resolution on my ipod. And lastly, the shuffle of songs isn't he greatest, It tends to pick a lot of the same songs over and over. I don't have any of my songs in my itunes library rated, so it isn't choosing higher rated songs over the lower rated songs. But I must say, the ipod does shuffle better than some mp3 players than I've had in the past.

The updated iPod Classic was probably the least exciting of the new iPods announced in the September 2008 update, but that does not mean it should be dismissed.
I own the 160 GB buy apple iPod Classic that has now been discontinued, but there are few differences (perhaps the biggest being the much slimmer shape of this 120 model), and I did get to check this updated 120 GB version out at the store, when picking up the new nano and touch.
Firstly, the 120 GB version is again smaller than the largest capacity available last year, but it is a single platter hard drive, which allows it to maintain the slim shape of the 80 GB version from last year. More storage, a hundred dollars less, and just as small. That is progress despite calls from others that the classic isn't exciting. It still serves its purpose as the original iPod idea. Big capacity in a simple to use device.
Next, the software has been slightly updated on the buy apple iPod Classic. It now includes Genius, like iTunes and the other new iPods. This allows you, when on a song you enjoy, to select the genius feature. The iPod will then compile a list of songs (playlist), which goes together with the original song you were listening to. This helps you rediscover music in your library, with a playlist to fit your mood at the time. I have been using the genius feature for a few days now, and it is impressive the way it compiles these playlists. I was skeptical, but overall, it does a good job. Furthermore, as another review mentioned, the iPod does seem more responsive with this update from what I saw at the store compared to my original 160 GB buy apple iPod Classic. Some speculation has been that the older buy apple iPod Classics will receive the software update of this new one, but I'm not holding my breath on that.
Overall, the original iPod concept was so good, and that is why the buy apple iPod Classic is still a solid choice for a music and media player. It will hold thousands and thousands of songs (up to 30,000 according to Apple at 128 bitrate). I also backup some important files to my iPod Classic, in disk mode, so that I have that additional extra copy of my most vital files. When you have such a large iPod, you can do that. It shouldn't be forgotten either that while the display of the iPod Classic isn't as good as the iPod Touch or iPhone, it is still quite good and you can play music videos, TV shows, and movies purchased on the iTunes Store.
Battery life for this new 120 GB model improved over the 80GB model from last year. Apple now estimates it at 36 hours audio and 6 hours video.
I'd recommend to buy apple iPod Classic without hesitation, to those who have more than 8 or 16 GBs of music in their iTunes library and want to carry their entire collection. Furthermore, if you have videos and video podcasts you want to always carry with you, again, you can't beat the storage. I have the lower capacity flash devices as well, but the big hard drive based iPod Classic continues to play an important role in my iPod Collection.

After trying a slew of other baby wipes from Pampers to Huggies to off-brands, I am happy to recommend these.
First, they have a very light witch hazel scent, with some faint wild cherry fruitiness. Heh... sounds like I'm reviewing a wine. Seriously though, I've smelled some other wipes that make you think you've been covered in baby oil or smacked in the nose with a alcohol-soaked lavender sachet. But not these ones. These wipes are light and springy.
Secondly, they are just the right gauge. They are thick enough to clean up the nastiest teething poops -- granted, you may need more than one -- and light enough that there are more in each package, meaning you won't have to reach for a refill too often.
They are also very soft and nicely moistened to maximize your baby's comfort during diaper changes. Also, they contain no alcohol or anything that would sting a baby's sore bottom.
Lastly, I would mention that you shouldn't be afraid of digging in and buying the bulk pack. Even if you find yourself with a fully potty trained baby and lots of wipes left over, don't despair! These wipes are excellent to use to clean dirty hands and faces -- both yours and your baby's -- and since they don't have a strong odor, you won't smell like you just changed a diaper. And of course, buying in bulk is good for the wallet.

It's 25 grams of high-absorb protein in only 2.7 fluid oz that literally tastes like fruit candy. But, it's way too expensive and a two-months supply can set you back a couple of hundred bucks easily. Because of this, it's better suited strictly toward its medical purposes.
This product is also not the "most cost-effective". There are plenty of other whey products out there that are much much cheaper and have just as much protein content, but they all pretty much taste like doo doo. What's the point in torturing yourself to save a few bucks? Cost is definitely an important factor, but not the most important.
Apart from all of the hype and apart from all of the hate, I would say that I really do like this product. It tasted a bit gross with just plain water, but when I added it to a cup of enriched soymilk, I couldn't tell the difference between it and a regular kid's chocolate milk shake. That is amazing. And this product did mix pretty well. I usually have problems with that when it comes to powdered shakes and it's always great when you can get a shake that doesn't just sit on the bottom of the cup and cement while everything else just floats to the top. I even added a serving of Benefiber fiber supplement, and it still didn't clump up.
One problem that I have with this product is that it does use artificial sweeteners, but I'll let that slide for now, since I don't intake too many products with them anyway. Still, it is a cause for concern for those you who want to avoid such things in your diet entirely.
Overall, 4 of of 5 stars. I'm pleased but not impressed. This product is definitely one of the superior brands out there but most definitely not a "gold standard". A lot could be done to improve it.

It just slays me how expensive these shaving cartridges are, but I must admit they do shave better than old twin-blade systems. [...]. I've never used Turbo and I'm not sure what it would add to my shaving successes, so I figured I didn't want to pay more for this feature. Cheap Gillette Mach3 had the best price I could find on the regular Mach3, but when I received them I must say they look different than I remember. They seem to be made of cheap black plastic, I could swear the ones I bought in retail stores felt better made. I dropped my razor in the shower recently and the metal tabs that hold the whole thing together bent and tweaked the cartridge -- this had never happened in years of dropping store-bought Mach3s. And it might be my imagination but it seems like I am needing to change blades more frequently, as if the blade is a poorer grade metal that dulls or corrodes faster. I can't prove it but I suspect Gillette is trying to phase out this product to steer consumers to a more expensive update, and is manufacturing a cheaper version for guys like me who cling to this product in hopes of avoiding the more expensive update, but the spotty quality will probably push me there eventually anyway.

Movie - Casino Royale (Two-Disc Collector's Edition + BD Live) [Blu-ray] (2006)
The most successful invigoration of a cinematic franchise since Batman Begins, Casino Royale offers a new Bond identity. Based on the Ian Fleming novel that introduced Agent 007 into a Cold War world, Casino Royale is the most brutal and viscerally exciting James Bond film since Sean Connery left Her Majesty's Secret Service. Meet the new Bond; not the same as the old Bond. Daniel Craig gives a galvanizing performance as the freshly minted double-0 agent. Suave, yes, but also a "blunt instrument," reckless, and possessed with an ego that compromises his judgment during his first mission to root out the mastermind behind an operation that funds international terrorists. In classic Bond film tradition, his global itinerary takes him to far-flung locales, including Uganda, Madagascar, the Bahamas (that's more like it), and Montenegro, where he is pitted against his nemesis in a poker game, with hundreds of millions in the pot. The stakes get even higher when Bond lets down his "armor" and falls in love with Vesper (Eva Green), the ravishing banker's representative fronting him the money.

From its punishing violence and virtuoso action sequences to its romance, Casino Royale is a Bond film that, in the words of one character, makes you feel it, particularly during an excruciating torture sequence. Double-0s, Bond observes early on, "have a short life expectancy." But with Craig, there is new life in the old franchise yet, as well as genuine anticipation for the next one when, at last, the signature James Bond theme kicks in following the best last line ever in any Bond film. Movie - Band of Brothers [Blu-ray] (2008)
An impressively rigorous, unsentimental, and harrowing look at combat during World War II, Band of Brothers follows a company of airborne infantry--Easy Company--from boot camp through the end of the war. The brutality of training takes the audience by increments to the even greater brutality of the war; Easy Company took part in some of the most difficult battles, including the D-Day invasion of Normandy, the failed invasion of Holland, and the Battle of the Bulge, as well as the liberation of a concentration camp and the capture of Hitler's Eagle's Nest. But what makes these episodes work is not their historical sweep but their emphasis on riveting details (such as the rattle of a plane as the paratroopers wait to leap, or a flower in the buttonhole of a German soldier) and procedures (from military tactics to the workings of bureaucratic hierarchies). The scope of this miniseries (10 episodes, plus an actual documentary filled with interviews with surviving veterans) allows not only a thoroughness impossible in a two-hour movie, but also captures the wide range of responses to the stress and trauma of war--fear, cynicism, cruelty, compassion, and all-encompassing confusion. The result is a realism that makes both simplistic judgments and jingoistic enthusiasm impossible; the things these soldiers had to do are both terrible and understandable, and the psychological price they paid is made clear. The writing, directing, and acting are superb throughout. The cast is largely unknown, emphasizing the team of actors as a whole unit, much like the regiment; Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston play the central roles of two officers with grit and intelligence. Band of Brothers turns a vast historical event into a series of potent personal experiences; it's a deeply engrossing and affecting accomplishment. --Bret Fetzer
Movie - True Blood: The Complete First Season (HBO Series) [Blu-ray] (2009)
Alan Ball’s True Blood series works well for television, as it has enough sensationalism to tantalize and enough story girth to make the viewer care about the characters. That one can finally invest emotion into monsters, including an undead Civil War victim, a transformer who can shapeshift into various animals, and a female mind reader, speaks volumes about America’s willingness to accept fantasy. Of course, television has always produced good fantasy shows (I Dream of Genie), but True Blood’s Southern Goth brand of fun horror is more macabre and more perverse, not to mention gorier, than most shows of its kind to date. Adapted from Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse novels, True Blood thrills because of its equal blend in each episode of erotica, humor, tragedy, mystery, and fantasy.
Set in a rural, swampy Louisiana parrish, the show centers around Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her clan, sweet grandmother Adele (Lois Smith) and air-headed brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten). Illicit love is spawned early on, when Sookie saves vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) from having his blood stolen in the parking lot of Merlotte’s diner, owned by Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) who completes what will form a complex love triangle. As tensions between Sookie’s suitors loosen or tighten, many side plots, such as her African American best friend Tara’s (Rutina Wesley) struggle with an alcoholic, Bible-thumping mother and her brother’s dangerous crush on drug addicted hippie, Amy Burley (Lizzy Caplan), keep one wondering who will succeed in this podunk place. The main tension throughout, however, is a race war waged between vampires and humans. As murders of “fang bangers” occur (human girls who let vampires bite them) and dumb policeman Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) fails to find clues, one sees the metaphorical implications of vampirism and feels deeper resonance with what can be a downright trashy show. Gossip galore, especially about what kinds of babies interbreeding will produce, is rampant. One of the funniest characters is Tara’s flamboyant cousin, Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), who deals drugs, works as a fry cook, and services the local white politicians, while making sure he’s always up in everyone’s business.
What makes True Blood smarter than pure soap opera is the parallels it draws between its monster mash and actual, familiar societal problems. Sookie and her friends watch the news, where Evangelicals bash vampires and prohibit mixed marriage, and everyone is addicted to V, a.k.a vampire blood, that effects like psychedelic heroin. Even its gore reflects a mix of serious and silly, as vampires explode into red, sticky goop. Though it may not be attempting to qualify for the best vampire footage ever shot, True Blood is as addictive as that substance the town’s youth obsesses over, which is a metaphor in itself. --Trinie Dalton
Movie - X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Two-Disc Edition + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (2009)
Wolverine, fan favorite of the X-Men universe in both comic books and film, gets his own movie vehicle with X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a tale that reaches way, way back into the hairy mutant's story. Somewhere in the wilds of northwest Canada in the early 1800s, two boys grow up amid violence: half-brothers with very special powers. Eventually they will become the near-indestructible warriors (and victims of a super-secret government program) known as Wolverine and Sabretooth, played respectively by Hugh Jackman (returning to his role) and Liev Schreiber (new to the scene). It helps enormously to have Schreiber, an actor of brawny skills, as the showiest villain; the guy can put genuine menace into a vocal inflection or a shift of the eyes. Danny Huston is the sinister government operative whose experiments keep pullin' Wolverine back in, Lynn Collins is the woman who shares a peaceful Canadian co-existence with our hero when he tries to drop out of the program, and Ryan Reynolds adds needed humor, at least for a while. The fast-paced early reels give an entertaining kick-off to the Wolverine saga, only to slow down when a proper plot must be put together--but isn't that perpetually the problem with origin stories? And despite a cool setting, the grand finale is a little hemmed in by certain plot essentials that must be in place for the sequels, which may be why characters do nonsensical things. So, this one is fun while it lasts, if you're not looking for a masterpiece, or an explanation for Wolverine's facial grooming. --Robert Horton

When Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon) is unexpectedly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall and is instantly labeled a “Monster” named Ginormica. The Dark Knight arrives with tremendous hype (best superhero movie ever? posthumous Oscar for Heath Ledger?), and incredibly, it lives up to all of it. But calling it the best superhero movie ever seems like faint praise, since part of what makes the movie great--in addition to pitch-perfect casting, outstanding writing, and a compelling vision--is that it bypasses the normal fantasy element of the superhero genre and makes it all terrifyingly real. Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) is Gotham City's new district attorney, charged with cleaning up the crime rings that have paralyzed the city. He enters an uneasy alliance with the young police lieutenant, Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman), and Batman (Christian Bale), the caped vigilante who seems to trust only Gordon--and whom only Gordon seems to trust. They make progress until a psychotic and deadly new player enters the game: the Joker (Heath Ledger), who offers the crime bosses a solution--kill the Batman. Further complicating matters is that Dent is now dating Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal, after Katie Holmes turned down the chance to reprise her role), the longtime love of Batman's alter ego, Bruce Wayne.
In his last completed role before his tragic death, Ledger is fantastic as the Joker, a volcanic, truly frightening force of evil. And he sets the tone of the movie: the world is a dark, dangerous place where there are no easy choices. Eckhart and Oldman also shine, but as good as Bale is, his character turns out rather bland in comparison (not uncommon for heroes facing more colorful villains). Director-cowriter Christopher Nolan (Memento) follows his critically acclaimed Batman Begins with an even better sequel that sets itself apart from notable superhero movies like Spider-Man 2 and Iron Man because of its sheer emotional impact and striking sense of realism--there are no suspension-of-disbelief superpowers here. At 152 minutes, it's a shade too long, and it's much too intense for kids. But for most movie fans--and not just superhero fans--The Dark Knight is a film for the ages. --David Horiuchi

A dark and creepy film about family relationships directed by Henry Selick of Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach fame, Coraline is based on the haunting book Coraline by Neil Gaiman. The first stop-motion feature shot in stereoscopic 3-D, Coraline features big-headed, stick-bodied animated characters with huge eyes and demonic grins set against menacing backgrounds and an undercurrent of spooky music. Coraline is a teenager who has just moved to an old house in the middle of nowhere with her writer parents and she is bored, bored, bored. Her only companions are an annoyingly talkative boy Wybie (short for Why Born), some eccentric neighbors from the theater and circus, and a strange, button-eyed doll with a marked resemblance to Coraline which Wybie found in an old trunk of his grandmother's. When Coraline finds an old door hidden behind an armoire and papered over with wallpaper, she convinces her mother to unlock it, only to find a wall of bricks. When Coraline revisits the door later that night, the bricks magically disappear and she discovers a strange pathway to another world where everything is just what she wishes for. In stark contrast to the real world where Coraline's parents just don't have time for her, her "Other Mother" and "Other Father" in this alternate world are the perfect loving, attentive parents who anticipate her every need and desire. Initially comforted and quite happy in this new world, suspicion that things may not be quite as they seem grows inside Coraline and her disquiet is furthered by the mute "Other Wybie" and a strange-talking cat that seems to move between both worlds. Eventually, Coraline discovers some dark secrets about her "other parents" and the seemingly perfect "other world," but it may be too late for her to escape back to the real world. Teri Hatcher is especially effective in her dual (voice) role as Mom and "Other Mom" and Dakota Fanning also gives a great performance as Coraline. Coraline is a disturbing, intriguing film that both captivates and frightens. (Ages 11 and older) --Tami Horiuchi
