Wonderful Smoker
I did a lot of research on the different types of smokers that are available and am so glad I bought the Smokey Mountain Cooker. The first time I had ever smoked was a couple weeks ago with this unit and it turned out perfectly! I've been smoking every weekend since and whatever I put in it comes out tender and perfectly smoked.

I have had many gas grills {prefer lump charcoal when time allows }but this little grill outcooks all of them.I bought hose adapter for larger tank and rolling cart for my Q-200.I use this grill about 5 times a week.My wife started cooking on this grill and she has never used any of my previous grills.IT IS SO EASY TO USE !!It hardly ever has flare ups,only very small ones when using oil on fish,etc.I was amazed how evenly it heats the grill grate,there are no cold areas or hot spots either.It has a large grilling area for such a small grill.The more I use it,The better the food tastes.I have cooked fish,hamburgers,hot dogs,steaks,chicken,all veggies you can think of:all have been wonderful!!! would recommend everyone get one and see what you have been missing!!Anybody can use this grill ,no matter if you have never used a gas grill.When I am not smoking meat,Iam using my little WEBER Q

Amazing results!
I just tried my stovetop smoker and was amazed at the results. I've used a large outdoor smoker for years, and was skeptical about the stovetop smoker. I used it to prepare chicken breasts, and they cooked fast and were juicy and tender, and had just the right amount of smoke flavor. I'm looking forward to using my stovetop smoker for seafood and vegetables. It's a great way to add flavor to food, and a very healthy way to cook.
The smoker is constructed from heavy steel and is well made. I could smell the smoke as the food cooked, but it wasn't intense and there was no smoke in the house. I'll still use my outdoor smoker for batch cooking or for smoking large birds, but expect to get a lot of use out of the stovetop smoker.

Wonderful Grill for Steaks and Burgers
I use mine with hardwood charcoal -- this gets the temperature hot, fast. As soon as the charcoal is lit up I spread the coals outward, drop the grill on top (on the high side of the legs), and let it warm up for a couple minutes. Once the cast iron is warmed up the heat radiates evenly across the cooking surface. To check the temp, I hold my hand 4 inches over the top of the grill -- if I can hold it there for more than a couple seconds, it is not hot enough. Without adding charcoal, I usually have just enough time to do two batches on the grill.
For steak, I leave the meat on for four minutes each side. When I pull it off, it has a nice crispy crust, and a perfect pink inside. When I cook burgers, I leave them on five minutes each side. And, chicken, I'll take a boneless, skinless chicken breast and pound it flat with a fry pan before tossing it onto the grill (this prevents the common problem of dry on the thin end and too pink on the thick end). Four minutes each side, and when the milky juice flows out when pricked with a fork, you know that it is perfect and juicy. I cook fish in a similar fashion. A little flavor tip: Some coarse kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper added to your meat before cooking is usually all you need to have excellent results.

Now, for roasting or smoking, this is not the product for you. Since there is not a lid it would be impossible to cook a whole chicken, for instance. Buy a weber for that. But a weber will never acheive the kind of perfect steaks and burgers that you get from one of these.
We have had our grill for three years now. It has lived outide our home the entire time in all kinds of weather - rain, snow, ice, or sun. And I was grilling in all conditions. I have performed absolutely no maintenance -- never oiled it, never cleaned the ashes. It seams perfectly happy in this state of useful neglect.
If you want a great charcoal grill, this is what you want.

This thing is VERY heavy duty and attractive. A tip. You might notice that this Amazon ad above doesn't tell you how big of a grill each size covers. When you select a size and put it in your shopping cart it will tell you what it can cover. The large is for up to a 64 inch grill.

Great for evening grilling!
I got this neat little grill light for my husband, who sterotypically, does all the grilling at our house. We grill year round and it is often dark when he is trudging outside with a plate full of lamb chops. He has either used the light spilling out from the kitchen or used a head lamp in the past. This grill light has a pretty strong magnet on it and can just attach to the grill or onto the spatula or whatever your using to flip. He loves it and often just holds onto it rather than attaching it to anything when checking the meat. I like it, because it is easy to grab from the grill drawer to use to light the path when I am taking the recycling out.

Impressive but not perfect
First, the advertisement says it has a 'nonstick aluminum cooking surface'. The instruction manual says it's a coating called quantanium. I purchased it for the (assumed less toxic) aluminum but it appears to be some kind of coating. It does clean unusually easily however.
The timer sounds a bell but doesn't shut off power. All that metal gets fairly hot. Can't move it as easily after use as my Hamilton Beach grill. The drip tray is of excellent quality but is 14 " long and so could be easier to handle and clean.
It does work properly. It does have extra features like the variable temp and the center pivoted top plate.

Like other reviewers have said, these are a high-quality, well designed, last a lifetime product. They are so nice I actually look forward to using them. They are worth every penny. I like to grill over a wood fire, and the Super Skewer has no peers. The twin, thin, SS tines are easy to load, won't split the veggies, and the food stays put when you flip them. The wood handles keeps the burn cream in the cabinet. They are nice and LONG to bridge a gas grill with the grates removed, or to hold wieners and marshmallows over a campfire.

I bought both the regular and the heavy duty (thicker tines) super skewers and love them both. The regular are fine for standard kabobs, the heavy-duty will hold just about anything else you may want to grill. I am going to experiment using two or three skewers side by side (4to 6 tines) for roasts, whole birds, or maybe even fish.

If you know someone that kabobs, they would be shocked at the quality of these compared to what they are probably now using (hey, give a gift - get an invite to a great BBQ) Maybe the best thing about the super skewers is that they are made in the USA by a small business. Nice probe
I actually got this to measure the temperature of the water in my kettle for making coffee and tea. I drilled a small hole in the lid of the kettle and insert the probe, which reaches down into the water. It works well and seems to be accurate and stable. Just what I was looking for.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I burned my arms taking food from the hot oven. Although I had pot holders at the time, they did not cover my arm to my elbow. I literally have scars on both arms from these accidents. Bought these gloves last month and they are fantastic. Last night took a 12" cast iron skillet from the oven that was super hot. No way I could have done it with conventional gloves. Certainly not with pot holders! I have them placed within reach at all times. You'll wonder how you lived without them.

Totally Awesome
I bought the refurbished model, and it has been fine. I visited all of the stores in my area to check out the models available, and even the high-end grills from companies like Calphalon were, in my opinion, kind of crappy at best.

I have a Breville juicer which is great, so I decided to take the plunge. I have to say, this machine is totally worth the extra money.

It's big. A monster, even. It's well made. I've been involved in the restaurant trade, and the quality is just a touch shy of professional. It has some very nice features, including a depth adjustment, tilt adjustment, and a nice long channel for catching drippings. You can open it flat and use it as a griddle.

Only a few nits:

The plates are not removable. Not that big a deal.
One of the plates is ridged, and the other is smooth. So you have to think about whether you want lines on both sides of your food and plan for that. Also, in flat griddle mode, you are realistically only going to use one half as a true griddle. Although it's so big that it's not such an issue, and you can certainly use the ridged side for meats.

It locks shut and stores upright, so you can store it away easily. There's even an ample spindle for the cord.

It draws 1800 watts, so you're not going to want to share a circuit with too many other appliances. It gets hot fast and stays hot, which is really essential if you actually want to cook anything other than grilled cheese sandwiches.

The most interesting thing: I've been baking 12" pizzas! Just set the depth so the top plate is as close as possible without touching, set the heat on high, and go. They come out perfectly. I generally use a pizza stone on the Big Green Egg, but this is a great alternative that doesn't involve lighting a fire.

Excellent BBQ tool set
I was searching for a BBQ tool set that provided length (I have a large grill and it can be difficult to reach across the entire surface) and quality. The Mr. Bar-B-Q 5-piece set not only met my requirements, but surpassed them while doing so at a great price.

The tools are very sturdy, especially the ends. They are made of solid stainless steel and are great at turning items on the grill. The length of these tools should also meet just about anyone's needs. There are two downsides (or rather comments) about these tools. One, the stainless steel tool ends are very sharp. Even the edges are rough and can cut just about anything. They should have been rounded a bit more. I can understand having the knife and one end of the spatula sharp, but every end on every piece is this way. So be careful about scratching other surfaces or cutting items (or hands). Second, the handles are not nearly as sturdy as the rest of the tools. They are a bit cheaper.

Overall, even with some of the downsides, I do recommend these tools. Great length and good quality, all at an affordable price.

This is a great smoker box!
A few things that stood out to me when I first opened the box:
- The thickness of the walls. I was worried it was going to be made from flimsy sheet metal, but I was mistaken. This is a good, study box.
- The handle is a useful feature. I didn't really pay any attention to this until I had to move it while I was grilling. One thing to pay close attention to is the height of the box. This box will not fit under my grate because it's too tall. So if you are looking for a box to sit on the flavor bars, make sure this box will fit your grill. I have been sitting the box on my grate and it is been giving me great results.

Big surprise in a small package
We grill at least 5 times a week during the summer and half as often during the rest of the year. Prior to our Weber Q 100, we used a large Weber, which is a great grill but we rarely cook for more than 2 to 4 people. The Q-100 is a great solution. It cooks equally well as our large Weber but uses far less fuel. ( We purchased the adapter hose to connect the unit to a large tank.) The small footprint and light weight makes the grill very portable and easy to place on our deck.

Unlike our large Weber, the Q-100 does not have a built in temperature gauge so we initially had to had to guess the appropriate flame height and duration. The enclosed Grilling Guide helped.

Best Grill we have ever owned
I'm not one for giving reviews, but I just had to write this. This grill is by far the best grill we have ever owned over the last 35 years of grilling! It's just my wife and I and we use it on our condo patio. I would have never believed that a grill could make so much difference in outdoor cooking. All prior grills would either have hot spots, get too hot or cold, extensive flareups which caused you to be watching over the grill constantly. With this grill, I have never had a flareup problem with anything I cooked. It must be the design of the grill and it also holds a constant temperature once you set it. I've learned a trick to only turn foods only once during cooking. This keeps the temperature more constant and allows the heat to cook from the top also. I must admit that I was skeptical about spending the money on this grill. After all, I have always been purchasing the cheaper grills due to the cost. So now I will say that this grill was worth every penny spent on it! Weber, great job on this grill!!!

Easy assembly, nice design!
Most of what I have read from other reviewers is spot-on. I echo a couple of the installation pointers from below - the two washers are used on the Phillips screws that hold the metal tank support in place. If you miss this, you will have leftover washers and be scratching your head wondering where you missed them. I do notice that their on-line manual now shows the washers in this part of the installation step, so hopefully it won't be an issue for you. And I also initially missed the axel. It was tucked into the bottom of one of the boxes. Overall the assembly was one of the easiest I have ever done. The design was solid and everything lined up perfectly, even when installing the four mount bolts for the grill shell base.

As others have mentioned, I'm a little surprised by the way the plastic "Weber" propane shield installs. I can picture this blowing away in a good breeze. We'll see.

I did pre-check to see what a replacement burner assembly would cost, and it came in at [...]. Why do this? Because I found out the hard way with my two previous grills that it's not the initial cost of the grill that matters, it's how long the burners will last, and what it will cost to replace them. We use our grill a lot, and our current one needed new burners (3 total) after just about a year or so. Cost? [...]. For burners. Small pieces of metal. With holes in them. [...] a piece. So this time I decided to pay for the quality of a Weber with the hope that the burners will last longer, and when I do need to replace them that I won't have to take out a small loan to pay for it.

I bought this grill for camping. I read the reviews, over and over, and over again, before deciding to buy it. I'm so glad I did. It grills great, and with the stove and griddle accessories, it's amazing! It gets very hot very fast. I also got the attachment for the big propane tank. This grill is amazing. That you can't grill with the top down isn't an issue for us.
As a stove, it's just like being at home! And the griddle accessory is great too.
It's starts right up with the push of a button. Cooks well, and clean up was easy. It's great that it has its own stand, moving it is a breeze.
Get the cover that goes with it. It holds the grill and all the accessories.

Great Multi-function Cooker
I had a Weber Kettle grill 20 years ago. I had no clue what I was doing, but I still got great results. Open the vents, put on the dome, and a little while later I had great food. But I got tired of waiting for charcoal to heat up, and went on to propane. I never got good results with gas. After wasting way too many years destroying food on gas grills, I came home to charcoal and Weber. This time around I know what I'm doing, and the Weber is giving me Fantastic results. The 22 1/2 kettle is a great all around cooker. It grills, sears, bakes and does a very good job of "low and slow" smoking. If you only have the room or desire for one cooker, get this one without hesitation. It won't smoke quite as good as a real smoker, but unless you're a perfectionist, you'll never know the differance. The 18 inch grill is a great cooker too, but because it's smaller it's harder to smoke on it. So if you have the room, get this model. The lid and bowls are built like a tank. I found the unit wiggles around where the legs attach, even though I assembled it correctly. The older ones don't wiggle. But that's progress. I don't think it's a problem though, just an observation. I was torn between 4-5 stars because of that. They have been building these forever, so assesories and replacement parts can be had easily.
Built solid, mutliple uses, food tastes great, easy to use. Not much else to say.

Weber Grill
I had alwayws wanted to get a barbeque grill ever since we bought our home last year. I had been debating between 751001 and 741001 for quite some time, finally decided to go with this one for its ash catcher and it turned out to be a wise decision. Installation of the grill was fairly easy even for me. We had three families of visitors when we tried it the 1st time, we cooked a lot of meat, pepper, corn and etc, it was awesome. We have used it three times already within the 1st 10 days after we received it, it's gonna get a lot more use this summer.

Great Little Grill
I've owned a Weber Go-Anywhere for a couple of years now and it's been a regular part of my outdoor cooking. Gets up to temperature quickly and is great for grilling simple stuff like salmon, chicken and sausages. The food doesn't taste *quite* as good as my mesquite-fired kettle BBQ but the Go-Anywhere also doesn't take 30 minutes to fire up.
The piezzo lighter flaked out on my Weber a couple of months after I bought it but it's pretty easy to light with a match. As another review mentioned, they do rust pretty quickly but they're really sturdy and basic. It grills as well as it did when I first bought it.

Strongly recommended for folks looking for a small, no-nonsense (or frills) gas BBQ.

Great Indoor Grill
Well I bought this for my Dad for fathers day, however they shipped it to me instead of him. Thanks to great Amazon customer service they did an overnight Saturday shipment for free to my Dad and got him his. One thing about Amazon they have the best customer service anywhere.

So I decided to keep the one they accidentally shipped to me, since it was already here. I have used this several times now and am pleased with it. Especially on days I don't want to go out and fire up the BBQ. Exhaust fan over the stove on and there was no sign of smoke in my house at all. Even with it off there is very low smoke. Keep in mind there is no smokeless indoor grill, dispite what they say. Like any cooking, if something is too hot it will burn and smoke.

The heat is dispersed pretty well on this grill without noticeable hot spots. Clean up is a breeze....make sure you put some water in the bottom of the drip catch tray.

The only thing I could complain about is the tempature setting between 300 and 425 is very small and hard to dial in. Maybe its not a huge difference, more practice will tell.

Very good value for the money.

Best Grill ever
I think I bought mine 10 years ago. I have replaced the guts twice; had my husband weld a copper pot bottom on it to replace the bottom when it got week from use; I just cleaned it this week with oven cleaner and replaced the briquettes; I have had to tell my son who lives nearby that "No" he can't have my grill; I am going to order another set of guts and a new plastic cover today. Everything that has been said is true. This is perfect for those of us who just need to trim the edge of your lawn or clear some overgrown weeds, but it is no bush hog. It comes with two batteries, each of which probably lasts 15 minutes peak on heavier jobs and maybe longer or lightweight edge trimming. We find this sufficient for our 1/3 acre property, though it usually requires both batteries as we tend to wait too long to trim.

If you buy this expecting the power of a gas trimmer, you will be disappointed. If you want a trimmer that just works and makes your yard look great, you will be very happy.

We had a Toro gas trimmer that was highly recommended by Consumer Reports for years and I could never start it without the help of my husband. This was very frustrating to me because I primarily care for the gardens. Now the gas powered one sits collecting dust because we both use the battery powered Black and Decker.

My main gripe is probably that it is so unattractive and that it doesn't go out into the yard and trim without me.

Liked it well enough to order a second unit to keep at our cabin in the mountains. Watch out for one thing. I accidentally pulled the extension cord loose from the wall plug some 75' away. I set the unit on the gravel beside the driveway and went to plug it in. I neglected to turn the dial to the off position!!! To my surprise and her great joy, the hedge trimmer works about as well as the electric B&D HedgeHog and the weed whacker trims more than grass. This is a very nice system for the DIYS people. You need to be a little bit technical when its time to do some advanced tinkering. The system does its supposed to do - secure the perimeter. I would not place the main unit near the door. Place it somewhere where the intruder can't see the light. It can easily be ripped of the wall and smashed in case. I would add an audio alarm add-on and install one indoor and one outdoor (its waterproof)- which I did. Also changed the master code and dont leave the deafault one, again for obvious reasons. The sound is loud and disorienting. It would definitely wake the whole house and freak out the intruder. Im still trying to figure out how to bypass the beeping sound when the alarm is tripped before the main siren goes off. I dont want to give an intruder time to find the main unit and breaking it. I want the siren to go off as soon as the alarm is tripped. I use the remote key to arm and disarm anyway. Its also easy to add-on. Since it is wireless, stock up on the batteries and test it once a month by using the chime mode. For the price you can't beat it. I've had the system for a month now with no problems and the best part - NO MONTHLY DUES

The clic-change chick is AWESOME: once you attach it to the Panasonic drill, you never need to tighten or loosen any other parts at all: changing from a drill bit to a screw driverbit takes seconds - just pull forward and remove, then push the new bit back in to attach.

Makes any job with a drill simple.

The screwdriver bits are magnetic and work well with a range of screw heads.

This is a fun gift for anybody who was born in the 60s or 70s, or anybody who likes candy!

Most of the stuff I got in my basket is available today most places, with the exception of candy cigarettes, so it's something you could put together yourself, but this is a nice way to have it all in one place.

Had it sent to my friend at her office and she said it went over very well. Lots of the people there liked it and she said they had a good time looking through it, remembering when they used to eat it when they were kids.

Long time Oatmeal eater here. I usually bought McCann's in the store, but it can get pretty pricey. Amazon is a great deal, and you get free shipping. FYI, medium- to long-term is it unhealthy to consume steel-cut oatmeal UNLESS you soak it in warm water with something acidic between 12 to 24 hours, preferably some fermented milk product like yogurt, kefir, buttermilk, etc. Reason being is that oatmeal contains in its hull enzyme inhibitors that have a chelating effect on your body, i.e., they remove metal from your body. While short-term this may be beneficial (eat meaters stockpile extra iron, copper, etc. over time), medium-term this could lead to deficiencies in essential metals. Soaking the oatmeal at least overnight neutralizes the enzyme inhibitors. Additionally, it allows you to cook up the oatmeal in about five minutes, versus over 30 minutes when left unsoaked.

This recipe follows the recipe in Nourishing Traditions, but basically soak one part oatmeal with one part lukewarm water. Add a little bit of yogurt to create the acidic environment: I use one TBSP per 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 1/2 cup of warm water.

Oatmeal should be eaten with some fat (many of the vitamins are fat soluble), so I add butter or cream. I also add shredded flax and coconut, increasing the healthiness of my breakfast. I then top it off with plenty of raw honey (also from Amazon), which sweetens my porridge and thus makes me look forward to breakfast in the morning.

This is the real deal. I douse it with unsweetened soy milk, and chew it up prior to my coffee so I'm only half awake at the time. If at least one of my meals is healthy, and more than palatable, good deal.

Forget the unsweetened claims, there's plenty of dried fruit. But otherwise, as a low-fat, high fiber, burn-some-calories-chewing food, it does good. I don't soak it long enough, so it is gnarly to chew up, especially when I need to eat fast to catch the bus - an adventure in the morning!

Why does the label claim servings are an ounce? That would make these 10 lbs last 160 breakfasts, I'm sure my serving is 4X bigger. I also recommend Oat Cuisine of Alameda, CA for granola.

I've always eaten oatmeal but I had never even heard of steel cut oatmeal until recently. I was reading a book which described the nutritional benefits of unprocessed whole grains. Shortly afterwards, I discovered McCann's Oatmeal which is minimally processed. They apparently only steel cut the oatmeal and that's all. I went with the quick and easy version because I don't want to spend 30 minutes cooking in the morning. I usually cook it for 5 minutes and then I add milk, frozen strawberries and blueberries and let it all simmer until the fruit is thawed. I must say this is my favorite breakfast now. I love the chewy texture and knowing that this stuff is also good for my health.

I originally started buying these for my 3yr old as a good organic sweet treat, but since then they have grown into a favorite family treat. The more "healthy" snacks I taste, the more leery I become of reviews because 99% don't come anywhere near their not-so-healthy counterparts and most taste like cardboard with chemicals or fruit juice that are supposed to taste like the real thing. I don't know if the people who think they are equivalent are just so into healthy food that all of it is "delicious" to them,(my mom can eat an unflavored rice cake and rave about it - ughh) or if they've never had the equivalent and therefore don't really know the difference, or if they've eaten so many bad "healthy" foods that the slightest decent taste is considered terrific - but most of the time, they are not.

Some I'll eat anyway for the sake of a healthy alternative - but do admit they aren't very good and other times it's just not worth spending so much more money for something I have to force myself to eat and hate every minute of it, and even worse it increases the craving for "REAL FOOD" that was made for taste.

However, these "naked" chips are actually very good, and chip worthy. I sought them out from my pantry on purpose yesterday. There's a difference between wanting a yummy snack and settling on a healthy one and actually purposely wanting to eat something, and it happens to also be healthier than chips. These are chip worthy in every way. They are salty enough, crunchy enough, and have enough taste for you to want them, and enjoy them and not feel like, now I want a real chip. I was very pleased and very surprised...however, I do not feel the same way about the cinnamon and sugar variety -those are nowhere near what I wanted. I bought the first Brother XL600I for my oldest daughter for Christmas a year and a half ago. She loves it! She has made many garments with the machine and it runs like a charm. I injured my back and am unable to lift my 18# dog at this time. I needed to find a solution to this problem since he is not a jumper. I searched for a ramp that would work in my back seat (I have a 4 dr. sedan) of my mid-size car, not a van or suv. This Solvit Half Ramp is a littler narrower than most & it works for me at a slight angle. He is able to go up the ramp to the back seat by himself. The majority of the these ramps were made for vehicles other than sedan cars. Fortunately, the width works for me.

The ramp is well designed,well constructed and extremely light at
7#'s. The light weight design enables me to place the ramp in the front
seat area so I can use it again for unloading. For me the car storage works better than the trunk because of my back. He is able to get out of the car reasonably well.

If you are considering a portable deck chair, the wooden ones can be fine. What I have found is the wooden ones tend to not be as study. The construction of these metal chairs is much, much better. This is our second Pawleys Island hammock. It is VERY comfortable and feels more stable than our old one (maybe because it is wider). Plenty of room for my wife and I, and we can squeeze the kids in too if needed. Only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 is I prefered the more curved stretcher bars on the old Pawleys Island hammocks. Duracord is soft and comfortable and hopefully less likely to be eaten by mice in our shed like the previous cotton one. Great buy!

I'm a big fan of these filters. I live in an agricultural town that uses well water with questionable quality: high mineral content, sulphur odor, and the possibility of agricultural pollution. These filters made a drastic difference in the clarity and taste of the water.

Is agricultural waste really contaminating my water and does this this filter remove it? I haven't had the water tested, thus I don't know for sure. There are also mixed opinions about town as to whether bad water is a problem. However, letting my taste buds judge, I'll guess this makes a difference in removing pollutants that I can and cannot taste. These are relatively low-cost filters when purchasing in bulk.

The faucet mount for these filters is a different matter altogether, and I think it is a shame they are not built to the same quality standards as the filters they hold.

I purchased this dremel to widen my iphone dock so that it would fit the iphone 3GS. I know what you're thinking- just get a new dock. I am tired of being raped by apple so I saw this on YouTube and figured "Why not give it a shot". The dremel was able to shave the dock easily and with minimal effort. I was surprised how precise this instrument is. Once the grinded areas was sanded you could hardly tell there was any work done at all. For about ten dollars more than the dock cost, I now have a really cool tool with many practical uses. Get the corded one above and not the cordless as the power difference is huge and who needs to mess with the batteries.

You wouldn't think installing a water filter in a refrigerator is rocket science but apparently some people have had trouble with these filters. We use them and haven't had any trouble. If you follow the instructions you won't have any either. They're pretty straightforward:

- Fill the new filter with water. Tap the sides of the filter and add water if necessary, until the bubbles stop coming up.

- After the new filter is installed, run the water dispenser for 3 minutes.

It's that simple. We still get a few minor sputters after running the dispenser but that goes away quickly. The flow doesn't seem any less than through a new GE filter and the water tastes fine.

To remember when to change it write the date on the filter with a permanent marker after the filter's installed (so you can see the date clearly).

I first purchased the 8 gallon plastic model and it was amazing in every way.Never again would I have trouble wiping off a dinner plate or drippy leftovers having to somehow manipulate the poorly designed (but good effort) lids on every trash can ever made.No foot pedal to jerk around with,no more ugly bag hanging over,just move over the perfectly measured and designed lid and vuallah,the best part of the meal is here! I LOVE this product, and can't say enough good things about it. I purchased this product after being extremely disappointed with a more-expensive Bissell sweeper I purchased (see my review for Bissell 2800B Perfect Sweep Turbo Electric Sweeper).

There are numerous complaints in the reviews from people saying that their battery will no longer hold a charge. In reading the owner's manual, there is a warning addressing the battery life:

"IMPORTANT: ...When recharging, charge time will vary dependent upon the amount of power left in the battery after its last use. Recommended recharging time for the battery after completely depleting is 6-8 hours. Battery may be left in charger for extended periods of time, but do NOT exceed 24 consecutive hours. Doing so may lead to shortened overall battery life. It is not necessary to wait until battery power is fully depleted before charging."

I would be willing to bet that this is the cause of the problem for many of the negative reviewers. In their defense, the warning is somewhat buried in the manual and is fairly easy to miss. The manufacturer of should make this warning much more visible.

I purchased this steam mop because I love "clean", but hate the time it takes to get there. Here are the pros and cons on this product IMO: Pros: generates lots of steam FAST; the mops are very easy to put on and take off using hook and loop fasteners; very light appliance and easy to push around; loooong cord; the powerful steam really does pick up dust and dirt effectively. The reason I'm giving this two stars is because: the handle is weak and feels flimsy to use (and if you have to constantly be pushing it forward to generate steam it should feel sturdy); the mop head stays in a fixed position and does not swivel, therefore; does not get in hard to reach places like the base of the toilet or tough corners. Because the above is my main reason for purchasing an appliance like this I was disappointed it didn't perform up to my expectations. I returned this product and purchased the Bissell Green Tea instead and love it!

This unit didn't clean the dust from the air. It might have been cleaning the tiny unseen dust mites, but the room seem to gather dust even faster when the unit was on. Also it is noisy. My daughter said she still woke up stuffy, so she would rather suffer from her dust mite allergy than try to sleep with the unit on. I did a lot of research on room air purifiers, Some were only ionizers, some had hepa filters. The Honeywell has both options. It has a soft filter in front and a hepa filter behind that. Three speed settings the lowest is pretty quiet the highest is noisy, but if there is smoke or dust just blast it on for like 15 minutes. I recommend getting a small table fan to assist to blow air into the unit, it helps. The unit works as advertised. Priced at around 50 very good deal. Unit has a nightlight feature and the ionizer has a light as well

Small gripes,knock down one star... Very short cord. The is supposed to be placed 3 feet from the wall and not us an extension cord, hey give us a 10 foot cord please. The Ionizer only works while the hepa filter is on not independently, although there are two separate switches. Also the switch for the hepa filter is in reverse order you have to slide it past the high setting in order to turn it off, which gets noisy if someone else is sleeping in the room.

Overall very good, I use it in a 12X12 bedroom works fine. Had it one month now so I waited for a review. The filters are permanent but if something happens they can be purchased from the company website.

I bought this because the previous resident at our place had an inside dog. We vacuumed and shampooed the carpets in an attempt to get all the allergens out of the room. However, I was still waking up with a sore throat in the mornings. Once I put this in the room and let it run overnight (on low) the problems went away. After a few weeks of letting it run 24/7, I moved it to another room and I still sleep pretty well.

Alot of people who reviewed this said it was extremely loud, but I don't find it to be very bad. When running on low, it sounds like you have a small fan running in the room. If you run it on high, it does get louder, but still not enough to bother me. I was able to sleep with it running on low about 6 feet from the bed.

This company, Natural Comfort has to be the best kept secret out there. Whoever you are... BLESS YOU! I love your stuff, loves it! I have to compare this to the overprice Pacific Coast Feather Co. I used to buy their products, but not anymore as long as this one is affordable. This company actually uses GOOSE FEATHER DOWN. A big difference from "feather filled". Down products should be made of goose or duck down and is a soft gentle under feather that looks like a matured dandelion head flying in the breeze. Down feathers are used by the birds is used for bird nesting and insulation for birds to stay warm during cold seasons that's why its such a great product for bedding. Feather filled can be made of many types of fowl feathers... particulary chicken, wild game, turkey or goose from commercial farms and are hard and pointy. Feather filled products will tend to poke out of fabric or feel "hard" under your touch. With this comforter, you get nothing like it. You can tell its real goose down and if you hold it up to the light, you can see the down under the fabric. Yeah, maybe the pockets are not filled completely, but you don't need it to be. This comforter holds the heat in. I love it. I recommend it to APO customers and stateside. Awesome product.

First of all, buyers should know that this comforter is actually packaged as the Charter Club Appalachian II. Charter Club is a high quality (if not quite top-of-the-line) store brand from Macy's, and the Appalachian II is one of their discontinued items (it's not clear why). Though Amazon does not mention it, the packaging describes the comforter as "light weight," with the further description as follows: "Ideal for summertime, warm climates, and those who prefer light coverage at night."

Upon seeing that, I was disappointed, and annoyed that Amazon's listing didn't provide this information. But before sending it back, I decided to give it a try, and after using it for a couple of weeks, I have to admit that I'm impressed with the warmth it generates. I sleep in an unheated converted third floor bedroom, where winter temperatures have been dipping into the upper 20s, but paired with flannel sheets and a mid-weight blanket, this comforter has been more than warm enough. I don't think I've turned the space heater on since I bought it. It's likely not warm enough for Vermont or Minnesota, but it's fine for winter in Portland, OR, and anything warmer would be too much for most of the year. The construction also seems to be of good quality, and although Amazon doesn't mention it, the package says it is machine washable (in a commercial machine) and filled with hypo-allergenic EcoDown (standard on qood quality comforters, but not universal).

All in all, it really seems like a very good comforter, and at the price I paid, it is an absolute steal. I looked around quite a bit, and couldn't find anything remotely comparable for less than twice the price. Four stars for quality and warmth, and a fifth for value.

The quality, the warmth, the color, the sizing, and the durability are perfect! The other 2 manufacturer's denim comforters I had purchased had the stuffing clump up on the ends and the corners when washed (one denim comforter from Target clumped up after 2 nights of sleeping with it). This denim comforter is heavier and warmer than the other comforters I had purchased and it is much more generous in it's sizing. The F5914 really cleans carpets well. On my worst carpet area, the cleaner did as well as a commercial carpet cleaner. I recommend

the following to make it a successful cleaning:
1) I supplement the hot water with some boiling water to really get the temperature up. By the time the water hits the spray nozzle, it

has really cooled off so make it hotter. Bissell uses a heater, but it can't be that powerful without reducing motor power. Best to

supplement.
2) Patience. Go slow and go over really bad areas. You will HAVE to pretreat and hand wash heavy stains, but so do the pros. Don't

expect a diamond out of coal. You still have to do the work.
3) Clean often. I have one carpet that I waited way too long and it just won't come clean. The pros can't and I can't. BIG lesson learned

there.
Have fun with this. I can't believe how much dirt there was in my "clean" areas, so it will be great to have this around to clean when I

desire to. I saved more than the price of the cleaner this weekend.

I was introduced to the Vinturi at a winery in the Napa Valley. One of the pourers in the tasting room highly recommended it. (Since it was nearly $50 in the winery gift shop, I passed, and was delighted that I could find it for much less on Amazon.) Since buying one, I've been impressed with the way that it opens up a wine. To me at least, the effect is more noticeable with richer, heavier reds than with lighter ones, and of course the longer a bottle is open, the less the Vinturi is needed. It comes with its own stand and is attractive enough to leave on the counter or to display with the wine glasses. The pouch that it comes with makes it easy to take to restaurants. I'm planning to give some of these as gifts to my wine-loving friends.

I purchased one of these from Costco. Two days later I bought a second for the upstairs since I was so impressed with it. I couldn't believe how well it picked things up, especially cat hair. I love the fact I can schedule it to clean our downstairs everyday at 3am and it's quiet enough now to disturb our sleep. I can come down in the morning to find crumbs from the kids gone, cat litter that spilled out of the litter box gone, etc. It only takes a minute to dump the bin and clean the rollers. The first view runs it was packed with cat hair, etc, but since it's been running daily it has less in it and it's obvious to see why when you look around the house and see how clean everything is.

Another plus is the unit returns to it's charging base when it's done, or if it needs to recharge during it's cleaning cycle. I was blown away by how well it gets around my place. I was prepared to return it when I bought it thinking it would have trouble getting from room to room as we are in an older home and there are un-even door jams, area rugs, etc. This thing makes it over everything. I was impressed again today when our upstairs unit made it over a marble door jam that I thought might be a bit too high, but it wasn't. Then I was impressed again when it went over our thick bathroom mats and dealt with them with robotic prescision. :) Also the fact that it won't go down the stairs is nice as you don't have to worry about blocking the stairs with something, it goes up to the edge and sees the drop, and stops and goes the other way.

I will still probably bring out the big vacuum, but I won't have to vacuum as frequently. It's nice to know bits of food from the kids, and cat hair from the pets, will be taken care of daily! This is such a time saver.

I really did do my research. I checked with Consumer Reports, other opinion sites, and read an amazing number of reviews here on Amazon, concerning this model, the Cuisinart, and the newer 760 model Kitchenaid FP. We are Raw Foodists, and so I do need a FP that I can use daily.
This one is really amazing!
To address a couple of issues:
The slicing/grating discs fit on a straight shaft that is then held by a thing in the center of the lid. This prevents the 'disc lean' issue that I've read about with Cuisinart FPs. The disc cannot tilt and chew up the inside of the lid!
It is not difficult to take apart/put together this FP. The bowl has to snap into place before you can snap the lid into place, but there is an audible "snick" when it happens, and you can feel it move into place.
The liquid line on this FP is much higher than the one on the Cuisinart FP of the same/similar capacity.
The discs, blades, disc shaft, and an included spatula, all come in a storage box. NOTE: the storage box lid just sits on top - it does not snap into place, and it is not a hinged box.
This FP is quiet. Very, very quiet in use.
The discs are very, very sharp. Think razor blades on steroids. I literally just dropped an onion into the chute, and it vanished into slices... I never used the pusher! The thin slicer is a bit thicker than on my previous FP, and I've not used the thick slicer yet. The shredder does, indeed, shred very well.
I made guacamole with this, using 4 avocados, 4 roma tomatoes, half a red onion (too much, actually), a large red pepper, and a large anaheim chili. I never had to stop it to push anything down into the blades. I pulsed it a bit, then just turned it On. Everything cycled down through the blades with no problem, and in an incredibly short time, I had very smooth guac.
I've also used it to chopped up an jicama, a cauliflower, and a large bunch of parsley. It did a fabulous job on all of them - I chopped them separately. The parsley, particularly, was great. I cut it into about 4 chunks, and then pulsed it at first. All the stems got nicely chopped! This is something that my previous FP could not do.
I've not used the small bowl yet, but the design of it looks very useful.
I highly recommend this model for anyone that uses, or would use, a FP a lot.

Before I comment on other features of the food processor, I should mention that I bought this DLC-10S used/second-hand. By manufacture date, it is 13 years old and still works as good as when it first came off the presses. I have no doubt that it will last another 13 years - Cuisinart just makes good food processors - period. The DLC-10S, from what I understand, was introduced around 1992, and Cuisinart still makes it in 2009, which says something. I would never recommend another brand based on my experience with 4 different Cuisinart processors (none of the 4 have died, by the way).

That aside, here is what I like about the processor:
- It is right in the middle as far as size for a Cuisinart processor - I usually cook for 3 or fewer people (usually 1), so my personal needs dictate a processor of this size
- The liquid seal is superior to any of my other Cuisinart processors - even though I strongly discourage people from ignoring the liquid capacity reccomendations, I have overloaded it on occasion, and just cannot get this unit to leak
- The pusher assembly/feed tube is located toward the front of the processor for easy access - I purchased a 14-cup Cuisinart for a family member, and that one locates the assembly toward the back, which is harder to reach (the only reason that I didn't buy my family member this model is that the DLC-10S does not come in Red to go with their red kitchen)
- There are a huge variety of optional discs and accessories to get more out of this processor - the smaller Cuisinarts just do not have the variety of cut choices; even though the whisk attachment and juicer attachments have since been discontinued, I am one of the lucky ones that knows where to find such things on the secondary market - and you can, too)
- I get the same functionality out of this Cuisinart as the larger models - at less than half the price (assuming that I had paid full price for the DLC-10S, which I didn't)

Here are just a few of the many things I have made using the DLC-10S - perfectly sliced stir-fry vegetables, perfect tuna/ham/egg salads, pizza dough, pie dough, hummus, guacamole, salsa, refried beans with spices perfectly mixed in, dressings, mayonnaise, bleu cheese dressing, mustard - the list goes on.

The only thing I don't recommend this processor for is very quick (1-item only) or tiny batches - you wouldn't use it, for instance, to mince a single garlic glove. Cuisinart has smaller, mini-prep food processors for smaller items.

This item has a 3-year parts, and a 5-year motor warranty, but I never needed it. It just keeps going and going.

I love this little food processor. It holds more than the average small processor and is VERY easy to clean. I just rinse or wipe off the top and set it aside to dry. The container is basic and simple to clean. It comes with a non-skid base that doubles as a snap-on lid to store the contents in the refrigerator if you choose. It processes food very well, leaving no chunks unprocessed, thanks to the design of a low spinning blade.

This is a true moisturizer with the added benefit of a skin-smoothing tint and sun protection. Do not be fooled by the popular brand name "moisture tints" or other so-called tinted moisturizers out there. None of them deliver the moisture (especially during dry winter weather) that MD gives you. It's also self-adjusting for year-round comfort; not at all oily during the summer for my difficult combination skin. I always get compliments on my "perfect" skin whenever I wear this and now can't live without it.

My baby was going to be under 6 months during the hot, sunny summer months. I bought this sunscreen for her and found that it was gentle and effective. I could reapply it as needed and she was fine.
It goes on pretty thick and white so you can really make sure you're spreading it everywhere you want to. However, I did find a little goes a long way or else it's too thick and you can't get it all rubbed in.
Even after a beach vacation, she didn't get a ray of sun.

I love the colors in this set. I was a little disappointed at first that there is no red eye shadow, but the colors all complement each other so well. I have very fair skin and can never wear eye liner because it looks too dark on my face but this color is perfect. I got so many compliments wearing it and just felt beautiful. The buxom is the lip color, not just gloss which feels thicker on your lips, but the color is amazing. The purse is tiny and is to be used to hole the makeup in your existing purse or as a cute little cocktail purse.

I recieved this set as a gift (albeit, one I'd requested) and it exceeded my expectations. I actually wanted it so I could try their acclaimed Photo Finish Foundation Primer without having to by the $30 dollar large bottle in case it wasn't for me, but it turns out I fell in love with every single item it came with. Laura Mercier`s products are very high quality. For $65 you`ll get:
-primer (light, moisturizing, preps the skin for foundation),
-tinted moisturizer (it`s great even for some imperfections like broken veins, redness, pimples),
-great concealer (one on the left I apply with smaller brush on the dots; one on the right it seems to dark but actually lightens the skin under eyes-for that I use the bigger brush, or finger),
-loose powder (very lightweight, invisible in pores),
-2 brushes (high quality), velour puff, and sponge (which is very durable, washable in the laundry, and it doesn`t "drink" the foundation (although I prefer my fingers),
-info about products and how to use them.
Make up looks very natural,dewy, doesn`t cake ( to set loose powder I shake off from the puff excess amount when I want a matte look in T-zome). When I feel like I need more coverage I mix a bit of heavier foundation with tinted moisturizer. Make up last all day too (for nights out I prefer more make up on me-different light).

I have never used urban decay's eyeshadows before. Now I'm pretty sure that I can't go back to just buying cheapie drugstore makeup. This palette is awesome! Initially, I didn't think I'd be able to use half the colors because they simply didn't appeal to me, but I've ended up loving to mix and match all of them. They can put down a ton of color, and I love that they have glitter in them, and if you use them wet, they're a completely different look. For the price, you can't beat trying that many cute sparkly eyeshadows, and the case it comes in is sexy cool, besides all the silly color names. I love this thing....buy it. Do it. You know you want to.

Even though it is small all the products last for a really long time and for 28 dollars the buyer is getting their money's worth. Typically I don't go for palettes. Either I don't like all the colors, or you don't get a lot of eyeshadow in them, or something or another, but I could not resist the wonderful colors in this one!

It's easy to go from work to party with this palette, something I'm always looking for because I'm tired of carrying around a million little pots of eyeshadow and fifty-two eyeliner pencils in my purse, my damn purse weighs a million pounds! I also love the brushes that come with this. Not a single nasty foamy thingy on a stick to be found, rather you get actual little brush you can use to create a wide array of looks, you can even use them to apply the shadow as liner!

I was very happy with this unit. I had upgraded to this unit from a old Garmin III. I was able to transfer all my waypoints to the Nuvi very smoothly. You are able to transfer points from Google Maps to this unit. The extra free stuff from Garmin (voices, icons, and more) really make their units great. It has a vibrant, easy to see display that automatically can switch to night mode is great. SD card reader, MP3 player, cell phone bluetooth, included FM transmitter are all usefull features included.

Some comments about how it functions:
Sometimes the menu's seem a little clunky (ie it takes a little looking to find the option to change from 3d map to 2d or to find my favorites) but this may just be me getting used to the new system.

If there is a menu that displays you elevation, I can't find it. Not critical but my old Garmin III would display current elevation.

The directions are pretty good. They even tell you which side of the street your exit ramp is on. I test drove it around my home town and although it doesn't always provide the shortest route it will get you there efficiently.

I would definatly recommend this unit to first time GPSers as well as expirenced ones.

I did a lot of research before I changed from my old Garmin c340. I think I made an excellent choice, this GPS has everything and more. I was new to traffic so I first tried the TomTom 920T which I didn't like because of how innacurate the maps were so then I turned to Garmin and I was happy again, with the addition of news, stocks and events for the MSN direct 2 version is great. I read the news once in a while is just a plain summary of what is happening not much with no pictures or anything but hey at least it gives you something else on the GPS to do. I find the mp3 functionality great the sound is loud enough just don't put it all the way to 100% volume because you'll hear static. The FM transmitter is one of the best I found on a GPS and the picture feature is great I even put it in my room as an LCD screen for pictures hehehe. This GPS gives you all the directions you need pretty accurate, MSN traffic needs to improve on this, its usually delayed most of the time it tells me traffic is there but then I find no traffic why? I don't know but I can say that is probably 80% right on other traffic updates. I really like this product and I am more than happy with this item, it is now a lot cheaper than what I bought it for which was $700, so do yourself a favor if you want an accurate, nice looking, fast GPS signal, great feature GPS get this one, I recommend it.

I havent gotten into a lot of the more advanced features of the watch but in terms of pacing and monitoring my heart rate this device works wonderfully well.

Satellite connection takes 3 or 4 minutes but it is easy enough to leave it outside while you get your shoes on or stretch, or even during your warm up.

Yes it is big but I really dont notice it at all when I am running and I wouldnt wear a HRM that looks more like a watch, like the 405, as my everyday watch anyways.

And having my pace, avg pace, exact distance, and HR in real time as I am running makes all the difference in the world. Combine this with being able to download this information to your computer and create a comprehensive log is wonderful. Yes you can approximate this with defined distance runs and a written log, but the ability to just go out and run and know how far I have gone without having to decide on a route before hand is great. Furthermore you can automatically upload your data online and compare with other runners in your area using Garmin products as well as find suggestions for new runs.

Waterproof, rugged, holds the signal well even with a tree canopy, and for the price it really cant be beat.

If you need a great hook-up for your Ipod to the car radio, this one is for you. I previously purchased a more expensive Belkin system that had a very nice rigid stand to put the iPod in. This system worked well when I was on a trip way out in the "Boonies," but when I returned to the area where I live, I got nothing but interference from the numerous radio signals in the area. To say I was disappointed would be putting it mildly. Then, I purchased this system after a friend had tried it. It was only a fraction of the cost and it works like a champ, without the static and interference. It does not have a stand to put the iPod in, so you have to lay the iPod on the dash, seat, or wherever, but it works. Forget the expensive stuff. Buy this one!
